We decided to go to The Windmills Restaurant where the pedestrianised promenade meets the road once again. The restaurant is well recommended on the Matagorda Mashup Facebook group and the special on a Saturday night is two steak meals and a bottle of wine for €25.
Whatever steak we wanted was included in the offer so it had to be fillet steaks and the same went for the wine - whatever colour or grape variety, it was in the offer, so for us it was a bottle of Shiraz to wash it down.
The sun was setting as we left to come back, so we enjoyed seeing the prom at night.
